Loom
Loom is a application that can be used to make videos of movement on the computer. It can activate the camera on the computer and show the screen or just display the screen. It is a great application to record directions on how to use an application. When viewing the browser it can be set just to show the current tab or the entire desktop. Below is a video I made with Loom on how to use Google Drawing.
As of March 22, 2020 the Loom Pro Plan is free to teachers and students. This is a COVID-19 response that is permanent. Click here for directions on how to set up a new free Pro Plan for teachers or how to upgrade an existing account.

Now that you have your account verified you can get started using Loom to make videos of your screen or yourself teaching.
When you use the "Sign in with Google'" option to make it easier for you. This way you don't have to create yet another count. When you login you will need to add the Loom Chrome Extension.
After the extension is added to Chrome you will see the Loom icon on your toolbar. The Loom icon is circled in this picture. Once you click on the icon a box will open up to ask what type of video you want to create.
The Screen + Cam will have your screen plus a circle of you while you're talking through the video. Screen Only will just show your screen while you demonstrate how to demonstrate something. It will record your voice explaining what you're demonstrating. Cam Only will just show you while you explain or demonstrate something. For each video type it will give you a countdown so you will know when to begin.
While you're recording there will be tools to stop the video, delete the video and hide the tools. The green check is how you stop the video, the red X you can use if you don't want to keep the video and the pause button pauses recording. The pause button can be used if you need to pull up another screen and don't want to have a delay. The 3 dots allows you to hide the tools.
To see your videos go to Loom.com and click My Videos.
