SVTC- Shenandoah Valley technology consortium
The SVTC is has representatives from 20 school divisions from the Shenandoah Valley. You're automatically a member by being an employee of Waynesboro City Schools. This group meets monthly. The representatives from each division come together to share ideas, success, and things they would do differently when promoting teaching with technology. The Brainstorm event held in Harrisonburg is planned by this group.

VSTE is the Virginia affiliate of ISTE that promotes technology integration at all levels. There is no charge for being a member. You just have to fill out the membership form to receive periodic e-mails about trainings, information about changes in Technology Standards for Teachers and Students and ways to get involved in their advocacy efforts. They have a state conference once a year in December.

They publish books and research-based case studies, newsletters, peer-reviewed journals and many other materials.
