Symbaloo
Symbaloo is a bookmark sharing site that uses graphics for the weblinks. When you create a page of bookmarks is it called a web mix. You can share your web mix with others on the web. To add a link click on a blank tile. Then click Create a tile. You will see a screen like the one of the left. You can enter your web address, name your link, select the color of the tile and what your text will look like. If your site's company has icons available they will automatically appear. IXL is a good example of this.
Here is a link to a Social Studies web mix I have shared, https://edu.symbaloo.com/mix/socialstudies290. You can also embed them in a web page. Here is an example of embedding, https://www.symbaloo.com/embed/websites154. |

Diigo is another social bookmarking site. You add bookmarks very similar to Delisious, but this one allows you to create groups to share and comment on links from each other. This takes social bookmarking to a new level. To see how to add a Diigo bookmarklet to your browser click here.

A podcast is an audio file that has been saved as a mp3 version and posted on a site where others can subscribe to it to received updates as you create them.
ITunes U has many podcasts. A podcast can also be notes from class that you'e recorded and loaded on a students mp3 player so that they can listen to notes from class over again. Audacity can be used to create the file. Then when you play it iTunes will import it so that the file can be loaded onto an mp3 player.
If you want to post it on the web podomatic.com is a good site to store them to be downloaded by parents and family members to showcase your students' work. Podomatic will also record your podcast so no additional software is necessary.
